Configuring IPv6 static default route

Description: Lab exercise explains the configuration of IPv6 static default route.

Just like IPv4, we can also create static default routes. A default route has only zeroes (::) and a /0 prefix-length. This is the equivalent of 0.0.0.0/0 in IPv4. We can do this with an interface, global unicast or link-local address.

Instructions:

1. Enter into global configuration mode

2. Enter serial 0/0 interface of R1

3. Configure ipv6 address on R1

4. Configure IPv6 static default route on R1
