Network Simulator w/ Designer Home
The Cert-Ex™ Network Simulator w/ Designer for CCNA is a software tool that enables candidates to work on Cisco router and switches in a stand alone virtual lab environment. Several labs have been made available for practice in the lab manual. Both Command Line Interface (CLI) mode and Graphical User Interface (GUI) mode are available. Domains covered in the labs include Basic IP address configuration of routers and switches, RIP,OSPF,EIGRP,Access-Lists,MPLS,DHCP,NAT configurations, VLAN, VTP configurations, STP configuration and troubleshooting
Console Based Network Simulator
This is basically a Simulator of the Cisco® router IOS, where a limited set of router commands are supported. You can work with those supported commands in a similar manner as that of the actual router. However, please note that this is a learning tool and it has limitations.
Network Simulator Lab Manual
Lab Manual provides exercises on Cisco network simulator. Available CCNA labs are listed on left pane of the manual. Separate manual is provided for both console and GUI , but features or functionality remains same in both.To view or execute any of these labs click on the particular lab from the left navigation pane a View and load lab window appears.
Network Diagram
The figure shown below is the default Network Diagram. You can select any other device from the drop-down box "Select the Device", which is on the right side of the figure to configure it. On selecting a device, the IP address and mask Address of all the interfaces of that device are displayed in the the list box need "Device Configuration Details". It is important to know that you will be issuing IOS command on the device selected using the "Select the Device" drop-down box.
GUI Based Network Simulator
Below Shown is GUI Simulator for Cisco® Router and Switch, where a limited set of router and switch commands are supported. You can work with those supported commands in a similar manner as that of the actual router. However, please note that this is a learning tool and it has limitations.
Wireless Controller GUI
Cisco Wireless LAN controller (WLC) module components, regardless of the device it is present in, allows you to centrally manage and configure a number of access points (APs) in a simplified manner. Most Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers (WLCs) supports features like Distribution system ports, Service port, Management interface, AP-manager interface, Virtual interface, Service-port interface and Dynamic interfaces
Network Designer
Network designer is used to design any simple router Network. The network diagram can be exported and then used by the simulator module to configure according to the requirement.Routers, Switches, PC or work station and the Supported Connectors are Serial, Ethernet, ISDN
