Configuring Port-security on a Switchport

Description : This lab exercise demonstrates the commands to set port-security on a switch. Port Security feature can be used to restrict input to an interface by limiting and identifying MAC addresses of the stations allowed to access the port.

Instructions:

1. Enter into global configuration mode on SW1 
2. Enter into interface configuration mode for fa 0/1 
3. Issue the command "switchport port-security <maximum/violation/mac-address>" to configure port-security on the specified switchport. Note that by default switchport port-security is disabled.
