Download and Installation Instructions

Router Simulator is a Windows based program and must be downloaded and installed like any other Windows programs.

1. After you click the "Download” hyperlink, the "File Download" box (see example graphic below) will appear indicating you have chosen to download the simulator from www.CertExams.com.
2. Select "Save", from the file dialog box.

3.A "Save As" dialog box (which looks similar to the exhibit below) will appear next. This dialog box lets you decide where on your hard drive to save the file. If you use the default selections, you can move the file to a permanent directory later.

4. Click "Save" and the download will begin. The progress of the download will be displayed. For 56K modems, this typically takes around ten minutes, depending on your connection speed and Internet traffic.

   Note: The file you are downloading is a .zip file.

During Download:

5. You should save a copy of the zip file somewhere on your hard drive in case you need it again.
6. You need to extract the unzipped file you have downloaded, so create a folder and extract these files into that folder. (Winzip used as example in exhibit below). Name this folder anything you choose (eg. ‘temp’). When ready, double click the zip file and when prompted, select the folder you created as the place to receive the files.

   Note: you can use the "browse" button to easily find the directory.

7. After extracting the files, you need to run the setup.exe file to install the program just downloaded from SimulationExams.com. This setup.exe file will be in the folder that you created to extract the files to (here c:\temp). The installation process is similar to what you use with most Windows programs. Just follow the prompts and program will be installed.
8. The setup process automatically creates an entry in the Windows Start menu for you. If you accepted the default destination folder, you can click the Start button, then Programs -> CertExams.com Simulator.
9. Now you are ready to take the Demo test of the exam that you have installed. A sample screenshot is shown below:

7. You can obtain the Registration Number by going to Start -> Programs -> CertExams -> CCNA Router Simulator. A sample screen shot is given below:
   

Note down the Registration Number and email it to certexams.com for issuing corresponding product key to unlock the full version of the program.
